Join us for our completely new Learner’s Permit In Clear Language course to prepare you to take the Learner’s Permit test.
Slave Lake Adult Education strives to design our courses so that all learners can learn, no matter their strengths or weaknesses. What does this mean? It means that our courses are developed:
- in plain language, so everyone can understand it.
- with audio, so adults who struggle with reading will not be hindered. The entire Alberta Driver’s Guide can be read and listened to as many times as needed.
- with large print for ease in reading for adults with dyslexia
- with memory strategies, so Alberta Driver’s Guide content can later be recalled by learners.
- with tutoring provided where needed
- with additional time offered to complete
With the course developed in this way, all learners can learn.
LEARNER TIME COMMITMENT:
- Total of 18 hours over 6 days
REQUIREMENTS:
- The learner will require a computer but they can use the library computers if required.
TIME & LOCATIOIN:
- Driftpile Cree Nation – Mihtatakaw Sipiy School - Northern Lakes College – Classroom (Use Gym Door)
- Jan 21, 22, & 23, & 28, 29 & 30
- 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
